THE WORLD YOUTH ALLIANCE (WYA) AFRICA REGIONAL CERTIFIED TRAINING PROGRAM 2024

Applications are currently open for the 2024 WYA Africa Regional Certified Training Program. The World Youth Alliance (WYA), a global non-profit and youth coalition, invites members from diverse backgrounds committed to promoting and defending the dignity of the human person. The Certified Training Program (CTP) is a comprehensive initiative open to young individuals aged 18 to 30, serving as a prerequisite for various WYA programs.

Eligibility:

  1. Participants must be under 30 years old to emphasize engaging and empowering young individuals.
  2. Applicants should express a genuine interest in understanding and promoting concepts of human dignity, involving active participation in discussions and related activities.
  3. Access to the Internet is necessary for online engagement, accessing program materials, and participating in virtual meetings.
  4. Dedication to personal growth, striving to enhance understanding of human dignity principles and their application in daily life.
  5. Proficiency in English.

Benefits:

Completing the CTP equips participants to articulate and defend principles related to the dignity of the person within the public sphere. Completing the CTP and obtaining certification will:

  • Once certified, you will be eligible to participate in the upcoming annual International Solidarity Forum going to be held in New York.
  • Equip you to communicate articulately and persuasively on behalf of the dignity of the human person
  • Provide you with a vocabulary to engage the international community and larger culture on issues relating to the dignity of the person, human rights, and integral development
  • Make you eligible to speak on behalf of WYA and participate fully in WYA activities. Some of these opportunities include:
  1. Apply for a regional or international internship,
  2. Start a WYA chapter or club,
  3. Start and lead a CTP group in your local area,
  4. Represent WYA in local and international events.
  5. Fellowship opportunities i.e becoming an advocacy fellow in your region
