To advance the 2030 Agenda and foster the shift towards more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agri-food systems, promoting better production, enhanced nutrition, a healthier environment, and an improved quality of life for all, the FAO Regular Volunteer Programme actively engages citizens from Member States. This initiative aims to make significant contributions to ending hunger, addressing malnutrition, and combating food insecurity.
Reporting Lines
The volunteer will be accountable to an assigned supervisor.
Technical Focus
The volunteer will be placed in a field relevant to FAO’s mission and work.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The volunteer will execute the functions outlined in the Terms of Reference (TOR) provided by the hiring office.
Minimum Requirements
- Completion of secondary school education.
- Proficiency in at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish). Knowledge of a second FAO language is advantageous.
- Nationals of FAO Members.
- Age of 18 or older.
- Ability to adapt to an international multicultural environment with effective communication skills.
