KWAME NKRUMAH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (KNUST) MASTERCARD FOUNDATION SCHOLARS PROGRAM 2024/2025 FOR YOUNG AFRICANS (FULLY FUNDED)

Applications are now open for the 2024/2025 Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program.

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program extends a transformative opportunity to its scholars, fostering a comprehensive training approach that empowers them as impactful change leaders. This program encompasses an array of services such as mentorship, ethical leadership seminars, and skills training. These initiatives aim to propel scholars toward academic success, community engagement, and a seamless transition to employment, equipping them to be global citizens.

Financial support is offered comprehensively, covering full tuition, on-campus accommodation, learning materials, transportation allowance, and a monthly stipend for a full year. The program goes beyond financial aid, providing counseling support services and career development opportunities, including industrial mentorship, career guidance, professional development, and enterprise development.

Regular group meetings with fellow scholars focus on personal and professional development, fostering societal relationships and enhancing scholars’ capacity. Ongoing academic support is provided through mentoring, virtual learning, and tutoring.

Participation in leadership congresses, community services, mentoring, and uniquely sourced internships with industry contribute to professional development. Becoming part of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Alumni and networking with the Global Scholars Community adds prestige to the experience.

Eligibility requirements include possessing valid academic results, meeting KNUST’s admission requirements, and demonstrating critical economic needs. Proven records of leadership and community engagement are essential. Priority is given to females, displaced persons, and individuals with disabilities. Applicants must commit to go back and give back to their communities and should not be enrolled in any tertiary institution.
