The government of Niger State has initiated the hiring of 1,000 health professionals, including doctors and nurses, to enhance the workforce in hospitals and Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) throughout the state.
Dr. Ibrahim Dangana, the Commissioner for Primary Healthcare, disclosed this during the launch of the National Immunization Plus Days (NIPDs), the distribution of mama kits, ready-to-use-therapeutic-food items, and motorcycles to immunization facilitators at the Emir’s palace in Minna.
He mentioned that the governor has authorized the removal of the embargo on the recruitment of healthcare workers imposed by the previous administration in the state.
