HARDSHIP MITIGATION: ANAMBRA LP LAWMAKERS CONTRIBUTE SIX MONTHS’ SALARY TO CONSTITUENTS

The lawmakers from the Labour Party (LP) in the Anambra State House of Assembly have contributed their six months’ basic salary to alleviate the hardships faced by the people.

Jude Ifeanyi Umennajiego, the spokesperson for the group and representative of Onitsha South II, urged both the federal and state governments to halt activities in all other sectors, including infrastructure, for the next six months. Additionally, he called for the declaration of a state of emergency concerning security and hunger in the nation.
