NSCDC PROBES SEVEN INDIVIDUALS IN CONNECTION WITH RAPE AND TRAFFICKING

The Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Oyo State has captured seven individuals on charges related to child abuse, harmful traditional customs, and human trafficking.

Augustine Padonu, the Commandant of NSCDC in the state, identified the suspects as Osuolale Ayodele (53), accused of raping a 13-year-old girl; John Umeh (64), charged with sexually assaulting his step-daughter.

Others include Eyeke Chimechie (45), alleged to have impregnated a 17-year-old girl and subjected her to domestic violence; Mutiu Alabi (45) and Adedoja Lukman (72), facing accusations of harmful traditional practices, including genital mutilation. Additionally, Tomiwa Olusegun (35) and Eritobiloba Rasidi (49) are accused of attempting to traffic four girls to Libya.
