FOR THE 14TH CONSECUTIVE TIME, SOPHOS SECURES LEADERSHIP POSITION IN THE 2023 GARTNER MAGIC QUADRANT FOR ENDPOINT PROTECTION PLATFORMS.

Sophos, a leading global player in cybersecurity services and innovation, made an announcement today regarding its recognition as a Leader in the 2023 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP). This marks the 14th consecutive time that Sophos has achieved Leader status in the report.

Raja Patel, Chief Product Officer at Sophos, attributes this recognition to the company’s continuous innovation in developing cutting-edge EPP solutions. He emphasizes the importance of staying dynamic in the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape. Patel underscores the need for adaptive and preventative EPP defenses, given the constant evolution of cyber threats.

Sophos Intercept X, the flagship EPP solution, safeguards over 300,000 organizations from modern cyber threats such as ransomware and exploited software vulnerabilities. The system incorporates deep learning artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance its protective capabilities.

A notable feature of Intercept X is its Adaptive Attack Protection, a groundbreaking capability that automatically disrupts ongoing attacks and dynamically fortifies defenses, providing defenders with valuable additional response time.

Additionally, Intercept X includes an Account Health Check feature, which identifies security posture drift and misconfigurations, enabling quick remediation with just one click.

Sophos Intercept X with Extended Detection and Response (XDR) integrates telemetry from various technology and security providers through the Sophos Marketplace. This integration includes data from Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Systems, Fortinet, Check Point, Duo, Proofpoint, Darktrace, and others.

The platform offers enhanced security operations, analyst workflow, and case management features. It streamlines redundant alerts, provides comprehensive visibility from a single console, and reduces workloads through automated responses.

In addition to the Gartner Magic Quadrant recognition, Sophos earned the title of Customers’ Choice in the Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer for Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP) report earlier this year. Remarkably, Sophos was the only vendor recognized as a Customer’s Choice across EPP, managed detection and response (MDR), network firewalls, and mobile threat defense.

Sophos MDR, the most widely used MDR offering with over 19,000 customers, is recognized as the most reviewed MDR solution on Gartner Peer Insights and G2. It is the only MDR service that can be delivered across users’ existing third-party security deployments as well as Sophos offerings.

All of Sophos’ portfolio solutions, managed in the cloud-native Sophos Central platform, form part of the Sophos Adaptive Cybersecurity Ecosystem. This ecosystem collects, correlates, and enriches security data with additional context to enable automatic and synchronized responses to active threats. The platform is further optimized by Sophos X-Ops’ real-time and historical threat intelligence and expertise.
