The Bayer Foundation‘s fellowships and stipends allow talented young people worldwide to develop critical skills, gain fresh views, and build key relationships. With this assistance, the organizer hopes to offer extraordinary individuals the chance to significantly affect the world and become tomorrow’s boundary-breakers.
The Bayer Foundation’s diverse programs provide wonderful opportunities or support for many individuals, with equity and cooperation at the heart of their fellowships. They have scholarships for young scientists worldwide, chances for instructors, apprentices, and employees in scientific enterprises, and support for young women with children in academia.
The Foundation welcomes applications from women, individuals from low- and middle-income countries, parents with young children, and those in Germany with German as a second language for the programs.

Offered Fellowships
Outstanding master’s, PhD, and medical students can apply for one of three scholarships from the Bayer Foundation to pursue overseas research projects, internships, and other opportunities. These fellowships are intended to improve already-existing study programs by adding money for global experiences that complement ongoing or upcoming scientific research.

Benefits of the Bayer Foundation Fellowship
Selected fellows will benefit from the Bayer Foundation Fellowship as follows:
- Candidates can participate in fellowships for two weeks to six months and get up to 10,000 euros in support.
- Individuals studying in Germany must intern in another nation, and those studying abroad must complete their fellowships at a German research center.
Eligibility Critieria
Applicants who apply for any of the following fellowships should meet the specific criteria:
- Otto Bayer Fellowships for Drug Discovery Sciences: Applicants must pursue an MSc or PhD (or equivalent) in natural science, pharmacy, or data science. Bachelor students and postdoctoral researchers are ineligible.
- Jeff Schell Fellowships for Agricultural Sciences: Applicants must be enrolled in an MSc or PhD (or equivalent) natural science or data science program. Bachelor students and postdoctoral researchers are ineligible.
- Carl Duisberg Fellowships for Medical Sciences: Applicants must be studying human or veterinary medicine or pursuing an MSc or PhD (or equivalent) in medical engineering, applied medical sciences, public health, or data science in medicine. Bachelor students and postdoctoral researchers in these fields are ineligible.
