Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has justified the recent clamp down on beggars in the city of Abuja.

DAILY POST recalls that the Minister had in October this year, “declared war on beggars because Abuja is returning to the beggar’s city”.

His action attracted condemnation from those who believe that the move was not necessary owing to the level of poverty in the country.
