Applications for the 2024 Italian National SDC Scholarship are currently ongoing.
The Doctoral Course in Sustainable Development and Climate Change (PhD-SDC) has a duration of three years and aims to equip talented students with the skills to build a more resilient society – one that will be able to address and manage effectively the problems of climate change.
The course is focused on the interrelation of complex issues such as technological progress, availability of natural resources, migration, human rights, climate change, access to food and water and the quality of life of present and future generations.
Eligibility Requirements for Italian National SDC Scholarship 2024
To be considered for the Italian National SDC Scholarship, you must:
- Applications are welcome from all qualified candidates regardless of age or nationality.
- Eligible candidates must have the following academic qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Analogous academic qualification awarded abroad (comparable to an Italian master’s degree, in terms of duration and study content).
- Applications from candidates who are still to graduate will be considered pending. These candidates must submit the relative degree certificate by the start of the course on Friday 13 December 2024
Benefits of Italian National SDC Scholarship 2024
- The annual amount of the scholarship is € 16,243.
- This sum is exempt from IRPEF (income tax) but is subject to payment to the Italian National Institute of Social Security (INPS), to which the university contributes two-thirds and the student one-third.
