Who can apply?
- Growth-oriented founders from Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Sudan, and Mozambique.
- Companies in other African countries may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- You should have a working product or service gaining traction and be looking to raise your first round of funding.
What’s in it for you?
- Investment: Renew Capital invests between $50,000 and $300,000 in promising startups.
- Training: Get expert coaching on business growth, pitching to investors, and key management tactics.

Program Stages:
- Pre-Lab Training (Open to All Applicants): Learn the basics of venture capital, the investment process, and what to expect after receiving funding.
- Venture Lab (By Invitation): Selected startups receive intensive training through online modules and live sessions led by the Renew Capital team.
- Investment: Companies that impress during the Venture Lab may receive funding and potential follow-on investment as their business grows.
- Pitching: Shortlisted startups will present their companies to Renew Capital’s investment committee.
