2024 MTN SCHOLARSHIP FOR UNDERGRADUATES
About the Scholarship
The MTN Scholarship Scheme is a yearly program offered by the MTN Foundation to reward outstanding Nigerian students enrolled in public universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
Scholarship Programs:
- MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS): Launched in 2010, this program supports students pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) degrees.
- MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS): Established in 2012, this program assists blind students enrolled in any discipline at public tertiary institutions.
Eligibility:
- Be a Nigerian citizen.
- Be enrolled in a public university, polytechnic, or college of education in Nigeria.
- Be in your second or third year of study (exceptions apply for blind students in Law programs).
Specific Requirements:
MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS):
- Minimum CGPA of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 (second class upper credit) for STEM students in public universities and colleges of education.
- Minimum CGPA of 3.0 (upper credit) for STEM students in public polytechnics (both for completed Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program and admission to Higher National Diploma (HND) program).
- Minimum CGPA of 3.0 (upper credit) for direct-entry STEM students with completed OND program and admission to year 3 in a public university.
MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS):
- Minimum CGPA of 2.5 for blind students in universities or colleges of education.
- Minimum CGPA of 2.0 for blind students in public polytechnics (both for completed Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program and admission to Higher National Diploma (HND) program).
Benefits:
- Selected students receive an annual scholarship of N300,000 (STS) or N200,000 (SBS) until graduation, subject to maintaining good academic standing.

Additional Notes:
- Meeting the minimum CGPA requirement does not guarantee scholarship selection.
- Shortlisted candidates may be required to participate in further selection processes.
- Selection is based on merit and adherence to eligibility criteria.
