Graduates have returned to their home countries, engaged in teaching, and established advanced research groups. Some have built scientific careers in leading institutions worldwide, maintaining active collaborations with ICTP.
Benefits of ICTP Postgraduate Diploma Scholarship:
– Tuition-free; 10 yearly scholarships plus travel grants for applicants from developing countries.
– In each Postgraduate Diploma Programme, scholarships and travel grants will be awarded to those 10 students selected from developing countries.
– No course fees; students receive a scholarship for the entire year of study.
– A limited number of qualified candidates may attend the courses at their own cost, providing evidence of sufficient funds.

– Open to young graduates in physics, mathematics, or related fields.
– Scholarships (around 10 per field) are awarded to candidates from developing countries, emphasizing those from the least developed regions.
– Selection based on university performance and academic recommendations, aiming for gender balance and global distribution.
– Participants must work on a dissertation after completing courses.
Eligibility:
– Open to young graduates (generally below 28 years old) from UN, UNESCO, or IAEA member countries.
– Minimum qualification: equivalent to an MSc or an exceptionally good BSc in physics, mathematics, or related fields.
Selection Process:
– Based on university records and academic recommendations.
– Fluency in English is essential.
– Applicants need knowledge in specific topics related to their chosen field.
